BROOKVILLE LAKE: Saturday, June 24, 2023
Time: 10:00AM Launch Location Egypt Hollow Ramp
SPONSOR: Robert Moore
Last year Jeff and I launched from Egypt Hollow and paddled south with interesting conditions. That sounds like a good plan to me so we will repeat the launch site. Options include paddling east into Mounds SRA, west fork or south to the dam. Egypt Hollow is located between the two causeways near Everton and accessed from the west side of the lake. By water, the distance from the ramp to the dam is about 5.5 miles. This is the open water section of the lake. Sea kayaks with spray skirts and water tight bulkheads are required. Brookville Lake is a 5260-acre lake managed by the Army Corps of Engineers and Indiana Department of Natural Resources for flood control and recreation. A detailed description of the lake can be found on line. http://www.in.gov/dnr/parklake/files/brookville_trail.pdf
