Phase One:  will consist of volunteers and support crews driving and meeting at the Put-in for the Raccoon Creek just below the dam.  Volunteers will drive safely and have all necessary gear to conduct a clean-up in a safe manner.  If volunteers have chainsaws, hand saws, trash bags, gloves, etc. please bring them.  I’m expecting the worse with lots of trees down and lots of trash.  This phase will end when all volunteers are at the put-in and the shuttle is run so all vehicles are at the Mansfield take-out.

Phase Two:  will consist of volunteers paddling and maybe dragging their boats down the Raccoon Creek to Mansfield Dam.  If we encounter any trees blocking or causing a dangerous situation we will cut them and make the river navigable.  Also we will pick up any trash that we can haul out in our boats.  This phase will end when all volunteers are safely off the water and all gear and boats are loaded onto the vehicles.  Volunteers will bring their own lunches and drinking water.

Phase Three:  will consist of volunteers driving to Mansfield Dam and put-in and paddling down and possibly dragging their boats to Bridgeton Dam.  If we encounter any trees blocking or causing a dangerous situation we will cut it and make the river navigable.  Also we will pick up any trash that we can haul out in our boats.  This phase will end when all volunteers are safely off the water and all gear and boats are loaded onto the vehicles.  Volunteers will bring their own lunches and drinking water.

Phase Four:  will consist of volunteers and support crews driving safely to their home of record.  This phase will end when all volunteers are home and all gear and boats are unloaded and volunteers are seating back in their easy chair drinking a cold beer or sipping on a nice glass of wine and feeling tired but good that we completed a mission to clean-up a section of river that has been a fall jewel for the HCC for a long time.
