  • Crooked Creek ramp

Registration is closed

We will launch from Crooked Creek ramp (6804 T.C. Steele Rd., Nashville, IN 39.094617,-86.327948) at 10 am.  We will be returning to this ramp at the end of the trip, so there will not be a shuttle.  We will be exploring near some of the marsh areas, and will generally be on smaller channels, which will be a plus if it is windy.  There is powerboat traffic in this part of the lake, but the traffic is not super heavy, and this is a speed-limited area.  There is no current; paddlers will need to be able to paddle at a moderate pace for an extended period.  This particular trip is designed with most boat types in mind – those with faster craft are welcome as long as they are okay with a little slower pace.  We will stop for lunch along the shore, and probably take one or two other short breaks.  Boats need to have a current $5 DNR non-motorized boat sticker attached.  Paynetown State Recreation Area (and other State Parks and SRAs) should have these on hand, or they are available online if you order soon enough to receive it in the mail.  PFDs must be worn whenever we are on the water.  Bring a lunch, drinking water, and sunscreen, along with your usual paddling gear.  Please sign up for the trip if you plan on attending.  Contact Judy Thompson judy_thom@hotmail.com for more information.

Covid Policy:
During all scheduled club activities, we will follow CDC and Local Mask and Social Distancing Guidelines.
Participants are expected to withdraw from the event if experiencing symptoms or if in a quarantine status
