Come enjoy some great white water and even better company in the round barn with an indoor bonfire! This is a Hoosier annual favorite and we have a cabin with plenty of room reserved for our group. Plus the weather looks like it’s going to be great this year!
IMPORTANT: WE ARE IN A DIFFERENT CABIN THIS YEAR!!!
WHITE HOUSE CABIN (click for photo) - Located at lower camp on the left as you're driving into Camp Caesar, this cabin has 2 double beds, 11 bunks, and full kitchen area and can accommodate up to 13 guests. Bring your own bed linens or sleeping bag and pillow. The cabin is reserved for our group on Friday and Saturday nights. Camp Caesar will also allow anyone from our group who's paddling on Friday to stay in the cabin on Thursday night. (Note: if parking is tight along the road, there's plenty of parking available around the other side.)
Daytime temps for Friday–Sunday are forecast to be in the high 70s (yay!!!), dropping into the 40s at night for the bonfire. Note that water temperatures are still likely to be cold, so please dress accordingly for the river.
Depending on skill level and preference, paddlers can enjoy trips on local rivers and streams including the Elk, Top Gauley, Williams, Back Fork of Elk, Miracle Mile of the Meadow, etc. There are no race competitions this year, but they’re still throwing a party at the Council Circle at Camp Caesar on Saturday evening with a blazing fire, live music, libations and more.
Camp Caesar will also be holding their First Annual BBQ meal on Saturday from 5-7pm, with fixin’s provided by Jowl’s BBQ. Cost of meal is $9. Good eats before the party!
We'll also plan to eat breakfast at Camp Caesar on Saturday and Sunday morning.
Please email Jordan Ross (email@example.com) to let him know you're coming or if you have any questions.Jordan has paid for the cabin and would greatly appreciate a $20 per person (for the weekend) contribution to offset the cost.
Wow. Have you seen the fantastic weather forecast. I’m in. Hoping everyone can get there early Friday for a fun run in 79 degree temps. I plan on leaving late Thursday afternoon. Wish I could leave Wednesday and paddle Thursday.
Wish I could be there Friday, too, but I have to work. :(
See y'all Saturday morning!
